Mature plants seen were 1m tall, plants to 2m (6ft) recorded by C.A Gardiner 1935. Erect multi stemmed form but coming from single stem, bushy appearance. Appears to be obligate re-seeder from
observations of juveniles. The considerable size variation observed in population of eight plants was
attributed to grazing. Flowers are yellow-orange and red with purple-red bracts.
Plant longevity unknown, the species has not been observed on Manypeaks since 1986. Manypeaks
was last burnt (prior to 2005 fire) in 1979, longevity of seedbank is unknown

Australian Government, Conservation Advice, Daviesia pseudaphylla
It is known that the species is sensitive to fire in the vegetative and flowering phase and too frequent fire would deplete the soil seed bank (Phillimore Brown; 2001).
