Sprawling to prostrate shrub, 10-40 cm high, usually branching from near the base, with yellow flowers and thin bark.

    The impact of that threat is exacerbated by a frequency and severity of fire events incompatible with the successful propagation of this long lived obligate seeder species (Stack Brown 2003).

    In addition to the direct threats of frequent fire; field observations suggest that fire in areas where P. cinnamomi is already present increases the susceptibility of the vegetation at the site to infection and dieback (S.
